This field course takes place over 5 days in Oligo-Miocene deposits located along the coast of Carry-le-Rouet (13). It aims at training students specialized in the "Paleontology, Sedimentology, Paleoenvironments" course in the interpretation of the dynamics of depositional environments from serial sections and panoramas analyzed in an autonomous way on the field. Fieldwork data collected (facies analysis, sedimentary structures, geometries, etc.) will then be integrated and discussed together in order to reconstruct the geometry of the depositional system and its evolution through time and space by applying the principles of sequence stratigraphy acquired previously (Master1).
